How We Play
Together.

Simple guidelines that keep our space welcoming, fair, and genuinely fun for everyone.

PaperGameFlck is more than a store — it's a community built around the shared love of games. Whether you're joining an open night, attending a tournament, or just browsing the shelves, we want everyone to feel at home. These guidelines aren't meant to be restrictive. They exist because we've found that a little structure makes the table a much better place to be.

01

Respect Every Player

Treat fellow players with courtesy and patience — whether they're a first-timer learning their opening move or a veteran explaining a rule for the hundredth time. Games are how we connect. That connection requires mutual respect.

Harassment, discriminatory language, or dismissive behavior of any kind will result in removal from the space without refund.

02

Handle Games with Care

Our collection is shared. Cards, tokens, boards, and rulebooks should be treated as if they belong to someone who loves them — because they do. Return all components to their correct locations. Report any damage immediately to a staff member.

Borrowing library titles without staff assistance is not permitted. All games must remain in the designated play areas.

03

Play Honestly

Cheating, rules-lawyering in bad faith, or deliberately misexplaining rules to gain advantage is not welcome here. If there's a rules dispute, pause the game and ask a staff member. We'd rather lose five minutes than lose a friendship.

This applies to all casual, open, and competitive play equally.

04

Keep the Space Clean

Food and drinks are permitted at designated tables only, and must be kept clear of open game components. Please clean up your area when you're done. Spills happen — just let us know and we'll handle it without drama.

No outside food is permitted during private booked sessions unless arranged in advance.

05

Reserve Tables Fairly

During open nights, tables are first-come, first-served. Private sessions are reserved in advance and will be marked accordingly. Please do not set up at a reserved table, and do not hold a table for more than 15 minutes without a group present.

For events and tournaments, arrival by the posted start time is required to hold your spot.

06

Teach Openly, Learn Humbly

One of the best parts of a game store is learning new games from other players. We encourage teaching, sharing, and explaining. If you know the game, offer to teach. If you don't, ask. Nobody here was born knowing the rules to Spirit Island.

Staff are always available to walk through rules or recommend titles for your group's experience level.

07

Age Considerations

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Some games in our collection contain mature themes and are not suitable for younger players — we'll always flag these if you ask. All are welcome here, but we ask parents to supervise and guide their children throughout their visit.

08

Photography & Recording

You're welcome to photograph your game setup, your wins, your collection finds. Please be mindful of other guests — do not photograph or record other customers without their explicit consent. Staff may decline photography requests for specific areas of the store.
